This week, Mrs Doran delivered an assembly to Year 7 on the theme of Growth. Students were encouraged to reflect on how growth is not just about academic achievement, but also about developing confidence, resilience, character, relationships, and a positive attitude towards learning.
During the assembly, Year 7 CDC’s were invited to identify and celebrate one student from their group who has demonstrated exceptional growth since joining our school. The response from staff was overwhelming, with tutors recognising students who have embraced challenges, shown determination, improved their attendance and behaviour, built positive friendships, and made significant progress both inside and outside the classroom. We are incredibly proud of each student and the commitment they have shown to their personal development.
Congratulations to all of our Growth Award recipients. You are excellent examples of what can be achieved through hard work, perseverance, and a willingness to learn and improve every day.
