During the lesson, Stan and Jack took on the role of learning assistants, providing invaluable support to the Year 8 students as they developed their responses and deepened their understanding of the material. Their guidance helped the students think critically about their work and provided a boost in confidence, showing just how much kindness and collaboration can contribute to academic growth.
The highlight of the session came at the end when Jack led the class in a collaborative exercise. He guided the students through writing model answers and encouraged them to use their Purple Pen of Progress: a tool our students use to revise and improve their work. This hands-on approach allowed students to reflect on their own learning and make tangible improvements, all while learning from the example set by their Sixth Form peers.
Stan and Jack have demonstrated not only academic excellence but also an exceptional level of empathy and leadership. They embody the spirit of Kindness Matters, and we are proud to have them as part of the Bushey Meads Sixth Form community.
