Sixth Form Team Launches “Elevate and...
This month the Sixth Form team were thrilled to launch our new Elevate and Excel programme.
The Elevate and Excel programme is an intervention for students in the Sixth Form that has been designed to empower our students in managing their own workloads whilst emphasising personal growth and fostering self-reflection skills that will be vitally important to them in further education.
With the guidance of their Character Development Coaches, subject teachers, parents and carers, students are encouraged to regularly reflect on their own strengths and weaknesses, creating manageable targets for improved academic outcomes.
Students, along with their parents and carers, were welcomed to the Sixth Form Centre for a launch event where the Sixth Form team explained the rationale, research, and methodology behind the programme. The feedback from parents and carers so far has been extremely positive, and we are confident that the Elevate and Excel programme will empower students to progress both academically, and personally.
“We are always striving for improvement, for those 1% gains, in absolutely everything that we do.” – Sir Dave Brailsford (Team Sky Cycling Coach)
