Sci-Fi Club at BMS

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away (that’s Monday lunchtime in L5) we saw the start of Sci-Fi club.

Opened to years 7&8 with the intention of it being something different for students to partake in, it got off to an enjoyable start.

With Star Wars: A New Hope being shown on the big screen and comic books galore, students were kept entertained. Not least, a giant lifesize Dalek which proved to be a big talking point.

Future sessions include more movies, lego building and students designing their own comic book strips.

One parent got in touch to say “we are big comic book fans, great idea by the way” which completely made my day. Safe to say, we had a good time and look forward to welcoming students back next week.
