Resilience and imagination
Last weekend 28 students took on the British weather and completed their Duke of Edinburgh practice exhibition. On Saturday they braved all seasons to complete their walk and get their tents up in the rain.
Within minutes of getting their tents up some students have made cricket stumps and a cricket bat from nearby wood embracing the challenge of having to entertain themselves without the use of technology.
There were some interesting food choices for dinner and breakfast with some lessons learnt about what to bring next time to make life easier.
Good luck to the students when they do their assessed exhibition in July.
As always a huge thank you to the 7 staff who gave up their weekend to support the students and make the event possible.
