This week, our Year 10 students have been out on Work Experience placements, and what a fantastic week it has been. We could not be prouder of the maturity, enthusiasm and professionalism they have shown.
It has been a real privilege to visit a number of students in their placements and to see first-hand the positive impression they are making. Our students have been working across a wide range of industries, including Primary Schools, Nurseries, Hairdressers, Property Maintenance and Management, Charity Shops, Groceries and Warner Bros. In every setting, they have represented the school brilliantly.
What has stood out most during visits is the pride our Year 10s are taking in their work. They have embraced early starts, new responsibilities and stepping outside of their comfort zones. Employers have praised their positive attitudes, reliability and eagerness to learn and wonderful feedback for both the students and the school. Some students that I have visited have also commented on the resilience that they have built through the new challenges that they have faced.
Work Experience is about more than simply trying out a job; it is about building confidence, developing employability skills and beginning to think about future pathways. This week has shown that our Year 10 cohort is more than ready to rise to those challenges.
Well done Year 10, you have been exceptional ambassadors for our school. We are incredibly proud of you all.
