Technology Assisted Self and Peer Assessment

As one of the country’s first and leading technology colleges, with all our experience and rich legacy we continue to maximise the use of cutting edge state of the art resources to enhance our students’ learning experience at Bushey Meads.

We continue to roll out a whole school programme for installing the highest quality Interactive Flat Panel Screens across all classrooms in the school and they are well used by staff and students alike.

One example is of Head of Dance Miss Miller using the high quality screens to show live student dances  from a recent end of topic performance lesson.Students were then completing peer and self assessment activities linked to clear frameworks and success criteria – all carefully guided through this powerful process by Miss Miller who was able to pause and analyse the media clips at will and also provide verbal feedback on each performance – smartly captured on our orange verbal feedback stickers.
An excellent use of technology to enhance the learning journey.
