Promoting Growth!
Growth is the Theme of the Week this week in school and all the assemblies led by members of the Pastoral Team are focussing on this important issue.
The Sixth Form assembly on Monday was led by Deputy Head of Sixth Form Miss Goldstone who also invited a Sixth Form parent to take part and talk about financial growth and the importance of planning ahead for the future.
After Miss Goldstone reminded students that often growth is a slow process that starts with choices and incremental changes, Mrs Cohen spoke about how just saving £6 a day at the age of 18 could result in becoming a millionaire by the time you are 60 – something to bear in mind! She also very importantly reminded students that not everything you see related to money and success online is true and that there is a lot of fake news and exaggeration out there. It tied in with what Miss Goldstone stated at the start of the assembly that success is often the result of hard work and good decisions – not luck!
