Pastoral Manager Ms de Alwis led a really positive assembly for her year group on Wednesday morning of this week. She reminded all of us present that we are all growing in so many different ways – physically, educationally, socially and emotionally.

She highlighted one of her own inspirational role models Oprah Winfrey who, despite some challenges in her life, grew into being one of the most successful and celebrated talk show hosts in the world and a really positive influence on society.

She then highlighted some superb role models closer to home: one student in each of the Year 8 CDC Groups who CDCs had recognised had grown really positively over their time at Bushey Meads School.

Each student nominated received a special certificate recognising their achievements.
