Friday saw the final aspect of this years’ training for the yr 9 and 10 girls who have been undertaking the Herts Young Coaches Academy.
The students have been running and attending weekly after school sessions at either Little Reddings, Hartsbourne or Bushey Meads developing their coaching repertoire with some excellent planned sessions. Having received high praise from the schools they’ve been working in, it was now time to officiate and run stations at the Herts School Games.
Taken out of their comfort zone and asked to run the tennis skills sessions the students were a little apprehensive about what the day would entail. However despite the blistering heat they were, without exception, fantastic, all receiving praise from the organisers and facilitators as well as the staff of the students they were working with.
It was a pleasure to see how the girls have developed their confidence and the manner in which they helped coach the primary students.
A very successful project which we hope to continue in the next academic year. Well done girls on your professionalism and being such great ambassadors for the school.
