Powerful PPE Results Assembly
Year 10 students took their hugely important Pre Public Exam Results Assembly very seriously on Wednesday afternoon this week. The nervous energy and excitement was palpable in the room as they gathered in the Main Hall seeing their brown envelopes laid out on tables at the front of the hall with their all important results inside.
After a brief introduction from Associate Leader Mr Abusef and Assistant Headteacher Miss Silla, students came to the front of the hall to collect their results. What was nice is that everyone waited patiently for the countdown from 10 to take part in the ‘right of passage’ in terms of them opening their envelopes collectively – together as a year group.
There were tears, but most of them were ‘happy tears’ of students who had worked so hard and achieved some great grades – even level 9s!  At the end of the assembly there was a short time to reflect on how they felt and what the next steps needed to look like for the last few days of this year as they move into Year 11 in September.
As parents and carers do make sure you prioritise the Kick Start meetings on Wednesday 2nd September as these are very important meetings with key staff to make sure the most important year of your child’s education to date starts really positively.
