Year 7 Raising Aspirations

On Monday 6th July, our Year 7 students took part in a Raising Aspirations session delivered by the University of Hertfordshire.

The session encouraged students to start thinking about their future and the many opportunities available to them beyond school. Representatives from the University of Hertfordshire spoke about higher education as one possible pathway, introducing students to the wide range of courses on offer and explaining how support is available for those who choose to study at university.

Students also explored the different routes into careers, learning that while some professions require a university degree, many others can be accessed through alternative pathways such as apprenticeships and vocational training. The key message was that there is no single route to success, and that every student should aim high and choose the pathway that best suits their interests and ambitions.

We would like to thank the University of Hertfordshire for delivering such an informative and inspiring session for our Year 7 students.
