My name is Owen, I attended Bushey Meads from 2015 to 2022, from Year 7 through to Year 13. During my time there, I was given many fantastic opportunities, including working as a Librarian for most of my school journey. In Sixth Form, I became one of the Senior Head Librarians, which helped me develop my leadership skills and confidence while also allowing me to be a role model for younger students.

Since leaving Bushey Meads, I have graduated from the University of Hull with a degree in Primary Teaching and have started my career as a teacher. While studying at university, I also worked as a Student Ambassador, leading campus tours for prospective students and speaking to around 400 guests during the welcome talk at the university open day. Since September, I have been working as a supply teacher in primary schools across Hull, alongside gaining some experience in secondary schools. Bushey Meads played an important role in helping me develop my leadership skills and encouraging me to step outside of my comfort zone.
