Natwest’s ‘Financial Foundations...

It is important that our Year 13 students not just leave Bushey Meads with a solid education but are also armed with some important life skills to help navigate their financial future.

For that reason Natwest Bank came in on Wednesday morning to deliver an hour long session about personal finances. This ranged from stating how important it is to start a pension the moment we start work to reading payslips, and giving useful hints and tips on budgeting.
The session was interactive held by Senior Personal Banker Mr Beamon who explained some key terms so our students left definitely feeling more knowledgeable about the future. His colleague also gave excellent advice about financial graduate schemes.

It was fantastic to see our Year 13s so engaged, asking excellent questions during the session and being able to recognise the difference financially between their ‘needs’ v ‘wants’ in their future.
