Superb Start to the Sixth Form
On Tuesday evening of this week it was great to welcome so many Year 12 Sixth Form students and their families to our Welcome to Year 12 Evening. It was particularly lovely to see so many of our ‘new to school’ Year 12 students and their families attend, having made such a positive start to the academic year.
The evening was hosted by Assistant Headteacher Miss Silla and led by Head of Sixth Form Mr Harris and was an opportunity for all parents and Sixth Form students to be reminded about all the brilliant things on offer at post 16 at Bushey Meads – not least the 35 different courses available to study! It was also good for a number of student leaders to talk to the audience and give their insight and perspective about life in the Sixth Form.
Parents and carers also had a chance to meet their child’s Character Development Coach or CDC – a key adult who will be supporting their child throughout the two years as they transition on to exciting futures beyond Bushey Meads. I would like to thank all the Sixth Form Team for organising such a positive evening and for making the start of the Sixth Form journey for our wonderful Year 12 students so positive.
