This week, our newly appointed STEM Ambassadors held their first meeting of the year, and what a lively start it was!

We began by introducing ourselves and talking about why STEM matters so much in our school community. Science, technology, engineering and maths shape the world around us, and our Ambassadors are keen to help every student at Bushey Meads see how exciting these subjects can be.
Next, the STEM Ambassadors shared their ideas for promoting STEM around the school. They were full of enthusiasm, and it was lovely to see everyone joining in and listening to one another.
We also talked about the STEM clubs running this year, and each STEM Ambassador chose the clubs they would like to support. The Technology Club proved the most popular choice, so it looks set to be a busy and exciting club this year.
Some of the suggestions from our students were excellent. One idea was to create AI designed posters to promote our STEM clubs, which would be a clever way to show technology in action while catching everyone’s attention in the corridors. The STEM Ambassadors also proposed making a one slide presentation for assemblies. This would give them the chance to speak to their fellow students, share news from the clubs, and invite others to come along and join in.

It was a great start to a term that promises to be full of STEM creativity.
I am very proud of our Ambassadors and look forward to seeing their ideas come to life over the coming weeks.
