Y12 Expanding Horizons Trips
As part of last Friday’s Enrichment Day activities, Year 12 students went into London for our Expanding Horizons Trips. Students were able to choose to visit a Museum or Art Gallery and have the chance to explore the displays, information or art and sculptures at their leisure in small groups. Our outstanding Year 12s were excellent ambassadors for the school, proving polite and courteous to all they met. Their superb behaviour and positive attitude was commented on both by the staff leading each of the seven trips and also praised when I met museum staff during the day. Students enjoyed a very relaxed trip with the opportunity to do something different and become familiar with some of London’s cultural icons, sharing the experiance with their friends.
A big thank you to the staff members who led the trips and Mrs Timotheou for her excellent organisation and to Year 12 for their outstanding enthusiasm and kindness on the trips. It was lovely to see so many interested and engaged students at all the museums and galleries. It was a pleasure to share the day with them. Here are a few highlights from the Natural History museum, the Science Museum and Tate Modern to give a flavour of the successful day.
