Fantastic Flair Evening 2021

It was superb to welcome so many students and their parents and carers at our three sessions for our increasing number of More Able students on Tuesday evening this week.

Led by our More Able Coordinator Ms Hargreaves and some of our inspiring More Able students, the packed audiences had a chance to reflect on what they could do to continue to stretch themselves across and beyond all areas of the curriculum as they strive to excel in their subjects at BMS.

The evening was punctuated by some excellent performances and presentations by musicians, dancers, STEM Champions, singers, two inspiring Year 8 More Able students, one of our Year 13 artists and our amazing Head Boy Bhuvan.

This year’s theme of Gusto has been chosen to remind students that happiness in learning can be a powerful lever in enabling them to achieve great success.

Head Boy Bhuvan simply encouraged all students to make manageable incremental improvements in the way they approach their learning and reminded them that over time all these incremental improvements will add up to be incredible success.

It was a truly inspiring evening and we hope that all students identified as having flair in one or more subjects really use the Gusto Booklet and engage in as many More Able projects and activities as they can to increase their enjoyment and happiness as superb More Able learners at BMS.
