Last Monday the Maths Department held our award ceremony for the students who had competed in the Mathletics competition. Students in years 7 and 8 entered into the competition against each other and the top ten students across the school received certificates for their excellent participation in the Mathletics event.
It was inspiring to see so many students engaging with Mathematics and having fun competing against each other. The students worked hard to achieve their high scores and it was lovely to see their enthusiasm as they collected their awards.
Cayley-Anne, who placed 7th out of all students, had this to say: “I enjoyed the competition and had fun with it. It was a great way to learn and it didn’t feel like it was homework.”
We hope students will be ready for our next Mathletics competition when they return after the summer break!
