Before the half term holiday it was a privilege to tour the school with Di Hoeksma our hard working Chair of Governors and Ray Marskell who will be joining the Governing Body this term. One of the highlights of the visit was to be able to introduce Ray to a number of key student leaders in the Sixth Form Study Centre. Without exception they were able to talk about their exciting journey through Bushey Meads School or their positive welcome here as ‘new to school students’ from other local schools, as well as their aspirations for the future.

PIctured here with Charles (one of our key Sixth Form Student Leaders) Ray was hearing about the subjects he studies at Bushey Meads and his responsibilities as part of the Student Leadership Team and the major contribution he makes to our learning community.

We are looking forward to the contribution that Ray will make as a new Governor at the school as he brings a wealth of experience from a real variety of different workplace environments over several decades and has much to offer the school at this strategic level.
