As we are now finishing off for the academic year and the summer holidays are fast approaching, we wanted to take a moment to reflect on what has been a fantastic few months in Outdoor Education.
We’ve had so many amazing things happening. We were proud to celebrate Men’s Mental Health Week with a small gathering of some of our wonderful staff, sharing meaningful conversations and supporting one another.
Our garden has continued to thrive, and we are now harvesting our vegetables! The students have absolutely loved getting involved, and it’s fantastic to see their enthusiasm grow alongside the produce. We are also developing lots of new vegetable beds, which is exciting for the future of our outdoor provision and more
A huge thank you to the amazing Watford community for your generous donations they are truly appreciated. We’d also like to thank all the teachers who have kindly donated their old bikes. Thanks to your support, our mountain bike workshop is now fully up and running, and it’s been wonderful to see students developing their practical skills and confidence.
A special thank you to everyone who continues to support the Outdoor Education Department. Your encouragement and generosity make such a positive difference.
Finally, a massive shout out to all of our students. Over the last five months, I have seen some incredible growth in their confidence, resilience, and skills. You have all been absolutely amazing, and I couldn’t be prouder of everything you’ve achieved.
Have a wonderful, safe, and relaxing summer holiday. Keep smiling, enjoy your break, and we look forward to seeing you all again in September
Do you have an old bike that you no longer use?
If you’d like to donate a bike, please email me. Your support is greatly appreciated thank you Karimis@busheymeads.org.uk
