The start of a new academic year is always a chance to make a fresh start – to build on the success of last year and to address any areas of necessary improvement. Last week’s assemblies led by Assistant Headteachers Miss Silla and Mr Mitman encouraged all students to do this. The Main Hall was packed for the Sixth Form Assembly and I have been impressed with the way all our Post 16 students have started the year. Many ‘new to school’ students in Year 12 who have joined Bushey Meads from other local schools are already making great first impressions in their new setting.
