Mental Health Champions – time to talk
Tom Year 12
Last Academic year the ” Mental Health Champions ” program was launched,  and now,  brand new for 2024 every Tuesday lunchtime in L8 we have decided to host a Mental Health club.
This club will consist of a few board games on the class tables such as uno and connect 4, which can really be engaging for some students as this involves socializing without the need to talk or get into personal matters, a really beneficial feeling for many people.
Furthermore, the aim of this new space is to simply feel like an area you can come in and discuss anything that’s on your mind or any worries you have at the moment without a thought of feeling judged or made uncomfortable. Fellow Mental health champions will also be in the room to listen to any of these concerns you may have, signposting you to help and to generally make the experience as positive as possible. Hopefully you leave feeling happier, really trying to push forward our school core belief of ” mind to be kind ” and anti bullying.
Our Mental Health Ambassadors are recognisable from their blue lanyards that they wear throughout the school day.
