Measuring Energy!

It was great to see the buzz of excitement in Mr Waygood’s Year 7 science lesson on Wednesday of this week. Students were testing different food substances to see how much energy they gave off when burned under a beaker of water measuring the temperature rise with a digital thermometer.

Students were engaged, working hard and keen to get some good results to prove their theories and predictions about healthy and unhealthy foods; it was a fabulous lesson.
