With the end of Year 11 approaching, it is an exciting time for our students to start thinking about their next steps and the opportunities available to them beyond GCSEs.
This week, Mr Harris, our Head of Sixth Form, warmly welcomed all Year 11 CDC groups into the Sixth Form area during CDC time to introduce them to the fantastic opportunities available at Bushey Meads Sixth Form.
Mr Harris spoke about the dedicated Sixth Form Team, the wide range of subjects on offer and what day-to-day life as a Sixth Form student at Bushey Meads looks like. It was a valuable opportunity for students to learn more about the support, independence and exciting experiences that come with continuing their education with us.
Mr Harris also welcomed some of our student leaders, who shared their own experiences and offered valuable advice about the transition into Sixth Form, including developing independence, taking responsibility for their learning and making the most of the opportunities available.
Of course, no visit would be complete without a treat, our Year 11 students were also provided with pastries and juice, making the session an enjoyable and welcoming introduction to Sixth Form life.
We hope these sessions have inspired our Year 11s to start thinking positively about their futures and the exciting possibilities that lie ahead.

Our Year 12 students have settled so well into Sixth Form life and all of the new to school students have felt very welcomed by all BMS students and staff. This made for a very...
