Result : Won 4-1
Scorers : M Darvesh 2, K Mistry, C Munyoro
Squad : S Mowle (Capt), L Fearnside, A Muraj(GK), K Fung, L Bird, A Nakazawa, N Konopka, T Odamtten, K Walker, M Darvesh, C Munyoro, K Mistry, F Francos
Commended performances : Whole team !
Comment : The senior boys team recorded back to back wins with another convincing performance. The boys produced a really solid defensive display with S Mowle, L Bird and N Konopka all putting in very strong performances. After conceding an early goal the boys dominated the game with some improved passing football. M Darvesh scored 2 good goals in the first half with confident finishes with K Mistry and C Munyoro adding the other goals. The boys can be really pleased with the progress made with the team functioning well in all areas of the pitch.

Senior U18 Boys v Immanuel (District League) HOME Mr Cartledge
Date : Monday 19th October 2026
Result : Won 2-0
Scorers : OG, F Francos
Squad : S Mowle (Capt), L Fearnside, A Muraj (GK), L Bird, A Nakazawa, N Konopka, T Odamtten, K Walker, M Darvesh, C Munyoro, K Mistry, F Francos, J Allan
Commended performances : N Konopka, T Odamtten
Comment :The Senior boys football team rounded off a busy half term of football with a really hard fought 2-0 win over Immanuel. Already missing ⅔ players with injury the boys got off to a difficult start when goalkeeper A Muraj was forced to come off in the 1st minute after a collision. N Konopka volunteered to go in goal and ended up having a fine game including one excellent save in the first half. The boys had more possession in the 1st half without really threatening the opposition goal but after a spell of sustained pressure in the second half a free kick from L Bird was headed into their own goal by an Immanuel defender. The boys defended really well not allowing the opposition many scoring opportunities and a late finish from F Francos rounded off a deserved victory. The boys have really progressed and sit top of the League at this stage of the season.
Year 9A Boys v Grange Academy (District League) HOME Mr Moxon
Date: Tuesday 20th October 2026
Result: 5-5 Draw
Scorers: B. Rusi
Squad: R. Gurney (GK), J. Muraj, A. Nguyen, B. Rusi, T. Muranaka, B. Stanley, F. Slazak, C. Kilpack (Capt), N. Cunningham, D. Hope, C. Vaughan, K. Akarigidi, J. Osundiya.
Commended performances:
Comment: The boys looked to continue a strong start to the league campaign with a fixture against Grange Academy. We took an early lead with two nice strikes before we were pegged back to 2-2. Just before the half time break, we managed to regain the lead and went in at 3-2. At half time we spoke about keeping concentrated, and that the game was more than winnable if we showed our quality. Grange academy equalized to make it 3-3 before we took the lead again and made it 4-3. 2 more sloppy mistakes from the boys found us 5-4 down with 3 minutes to play, before a free kick from the halfway line hit by B. Rusi managed to skid off the wet surface and over the Grange Academy goalkeeper to rescue a 5-5 draw at the death. Although a disappointing result, the boys remain unbeaten in our league campaign with the county plate to look forward to.

Year 10 Boys v Grange Academy (District League) AWAY Mr Cartledge
Date: Tuesday 20th October 2026
Result: Lost 3-2
Scorers: N Gurung, N Gibson
Squad: O Phillips, O Woodbrock (GK), M Rawlings, D Mason, W Reynolds, C Allan, C Holt, G Fogden, D Henry, N Gurung, D Isles, N Gibson
Commended performances: D Mason, N Gibson
Comment: A much improved Year 10 performance in a very competitive game against Grange Academy. With 4 regular 1st team players still missing it was always going to be a tough match against a strong team. Some early defensive errors saw the boys fall 3-0 behind after 20 minutes but the boys showed fantastic fighting spirit in a stirring comeback. The boys played some excellent passing football for large spells of the game and dominated sections of the second half. Two well taken goals and a late flury of corners nearly saw the boys earn a point but they were just edged out in the end. Well done to the whole squad whose effort could not be faulted.
GIRLS FOOTBALL
U13 Girls v Futures Academy (District League) AWAY Mrs Cooper
Date: Wednesday 21st October 2026
Result: Won 2-0
Scorers: S.Fintinariu (2)
Squad: S.Henry, M.Gibson, C.Elliot, A.Karakushi, S.Fintinariu, S.Benson, T.Walker-Hosier, E.O’Sullivan, I.Murphy, M.Mahboobian
Commended performances: I.Murphy voted by opposition.
Comment: A great performance from the U13 team. They dominated from the onset but for the fact the goals were very small!! might have won by many more goals!! Strong midfield play led to some good passes out to the wings and with balls whipped into the forwards there were many shooting opportunities. The opposition GK was the busiest player on the pitch and made some fine saves. Whilst the BMS defence had little to do, what they did was effective and maintained the clean sheet. Thanks to all the players who took a turn in goal to support the team.
With 2 clinical goals 9 (1 in each half) S.Fintinariu secured the victory but credit should be given to the whole squad for an impressive performance and great sportsmanship.
NETBALL
Year 7 Girls v Westfield Home Mrs Cooper
Date:Monday 19th October 2026
Result: Drew 2-2
Squad: J.Stanley, M.Mahboobian, P.Copeland, D.Pearce, Z.Matti, D.Bola, E.Colakovic
Commended performances: P.Copeland voted by opposition, special mention to D.Bola for some fantastic defending.
Comment: A much improved performance saw the year 7 girls earn themselves a draw in their second fixture. Although a low scoring game the play was end to end with both teams having chances but able to convert. Westfield took a lead into half time but the BMS team were determined to get something from the game and kept battling eventually earning themselves the reward in the final quarter with the equalising goal. Well played girls, a great bounce back from last week’s defeat.
Year 8 Girls v Westfield Home Mrs Cooper
Date: Monday 19th October 2026
Result: Lost 8-10
Squad: G.Cole, A.Karakushi, N.Guyadeen, C.Elliot, G.Oakes, A.Gray, A.Benson, P.Yogarajan
Commended performances: G.Oakes voted by opposition and special mention to N.Guyadeen for being highlighted by the opposition teacher for her excellent play.
Comment: A frustrating game for the year 8 team who deserved more from the game. With several players unavailable it was great to see the wider squad members step up and fill the spaces. The first half saw BMS take an early lead with some dominant attacking play, but some sloppy passing and turnover ball in the third quarter saw their opposition claw themselves back into the game and take the lead. Despite rallying in the final quarter BMS were not quite able to reduce the deficit and sadly succumbed to their first defeat of the season. Lots of positives to be taken from the game and things to work on practice in the next couple of sessions. I’m sure we will be back to winning ways after half term!
Year 9 Girls v Westfield AWAY Miss Sunpongco
Date: Monday 19th October 2026
Result: Won 18-16
Squad: A Bateman, N Mowle, E Bain, F Shire, M Moore, V Delenska, J Hearn, E Coetzee and L Tokai.
Comment: A thrilling afternoon at Westfield with the Year 9s. The girls knew they needed to start the game strong to have the advantage. The start of the first quarter was very calm and collected, all students were playing off each other and had great knowledge of where their teammates were on court. With great support, they started with a lead of 4 but could not keep this up to half time. Team talk included tactics to help get more interceptions and carry the ball down court without giving over possession. The game was neck to neck throughout, Westfield and BMS both taking the lead at some point. It was great to see the determination for the win during the last team talk, encouraging each other and making sure all members are focused on the goal. With a few turnovers, the Year 9s achieved a well deserved win. Well done girls and N Mowle for being chosen POTM!

Year 10 Girls v Westfield AWAY Miss Sunpongco
Date: Monday 19th October 2026
Result: Drew 3-3
Squad: Y Loku-Galapaththige, D Vinoth, E Gillett, A Terinte-Olteanu and and N N Pata
Comment: The Year 10s goal was to make sure the goal difference was no more than two this game. With a few players missing and our defenders being shooters, it was going to be a challenge. The game was very even throughout, with plenty of interceptions from D Vinoth, even being a defender down! It was great to see the rest of the team supporting our attackers and the support from the Year 9s to help complete the team was also really great. An amazing job from the team to score 3 goals, sadly the 4th was disallowed which would have brought us the win. It was a great game overall. Well done girls and well done D Vinoth for being chosen POTM!
