Every year we have applicants for the Head Student positions at Bushey Meads from outstanding Year 12 candidates that have a long history of contributing massively to the school community over many years and those who clearly have proven leadership ability. This year is no exception and the six candidates who have been presenting the Student Leadership Assemblies this week are some of the strongest applicants we have had for many years.

It was a privilege to hear them speak and talk about those important leadership attributes of service, dedication, humility, willingness to represent the views of others for the common good and perseverance to make changes that are needed to make a positive difference in our school community.

I would like to congratulate them all and wish them well for every success in their application process.

All of them have the ability to make a real difference in our school and in the wider community beyond Bushey Meads.
