Welcome Back!

A very warm welcome back to all our students, families and staff following the summer break. We hope everyone has enjoyed a well-deserved opportunity to rest, recharge and spend time with family and friends. The start of a new school year always brings a sense of excitement and anticipation, and it has been wonderful to see our school community coming back together.

A particularly warm welcome goes to our new Year 7 students! Starting secondary school is a big milestone, and we know that the first few days and weeks can bring a mixture of excitement, nerves and plenty of new experiences. From finding your way around school and meeting new teachers, to making new friends and getting used to a new timetable, there is a lot to take in. We are incredibly proud of the way our Year 7s have made such a positive start and look forward to seeing them grow in confidence throughout the year.

We would also like to welcome students who have joined us in other year groups. We hope that every new member of our school community quickly feels at home, supported and included.

Our Pastoral Team plays an important role in making sure that students feel safe, happy, supported and ready to learn. If you are ever unsure who to speak to about a worry, friendship issue, attendance, wellbeing or anything else that is affecting school life, your pastoral team is here to help.

Please remember that asking for help is a strength, not a weakness. Whether something feels big or small, speaking to a trusted adult early can make a real difference.

As we begin the new academic year, we encourage every student to set themselves some positive goals, try something new, look out for one another and make the most of the opportunities available to them.

Here’s to a happy, successful and memorable year ahead. Welcome back, everyone — and especially our fantastic new Year 7s!
