Thought Provoking Assemblies

The theme for our Main School Assemblies this week has reflected a strand that is at the very core of our school – that of Aspiration.

Assistant Headteacher Mrs Greenwood led the thought provoking assemblies and reminded students of the difference between a vague hope, wish or dream and the concept of really Aspiring to Achieve with that real sense of hard work and determination to succeed.

In order to realise a true aspiration you have to try hard, show self-reliance, adopt a growth mindset, demonstrate resilience, respond to feedback from others and accept advice and support.

At Bushey Meads School we encourage all of these character traits each and every day and are seeing more and more students achieve their true goals and aspirations – it is inspiring to see.
