Our Year 7 musicians have made an excellent start to the school year and have been working particularly hard at their singing. We have been focussing on warming up the voice, good singing posture and singing with confidence. We are currently learning the Stevie Wonder hit ‘As’ and the students already sound fantastic.

Together we have come up with a list of reasons why it is good to sing:

• To improve your musicianship
• To boost your confidence
• To be part of a team
• To reduce your stress levels
• To learn new songs
• To have fun

I will be running a choir on Monday lunchtimes for anyone who would like to do a bit extra so please do come and find me if you are interested.

It feels wonderful to be singing in school again.
