Wellbeing Assemblies with MIND
Recently, students across the school took part in special wellbeing assemblies delivered by the mental health organisation MIND.
Our Year 8 students attended an assembly focused on supporting young people during difficult or overwhelming times. The session introduced a range of practical strategies to help manage wellbeing, including recognising and naming emotions, managing stress and anxiety, using breathing and grounding techniques, and understanding when and how to seek support. Students were encouraged to reflect on their own experiences and reminded of the importance of speaking to trusted adults and peers.
Year 11 students also benefited from a dedicated assembly tailored to their current stage of education, with a particular focus on managing exam stress. The session provided useful techniques to cope with pressure, maintain balance during revision, and look after mental health in the lead-up to examinations.
Both assemblies were engaging and informative, offering students valuable tools they can use both in and out of school. We would like to thank MIND for delivering these sessions and for supporting our ongoing commitment to student wellbeing across all year groups.
