Head of Standards Safeguarding and SEND Mrs Ash led the main school assemblies this week on the hugely important theme of the week of Equality and Diversity.
She reminded students of the protected characteristics that are defined in law and which underpin many of our policies at Bushey Meads School.
She also highlighted some inspirational individuals and groups who have worked to raise issues of discrimination as a reminder to us to always treat each other with respect and be mindful of the importance of providing equity, irrespective of someone’s background or belief.
She reinforced the expectations at Bushey Meads to remember and live out our 3Rs of Respect, Responsibility and Relationships and to always have a Mind to be Kind .

Diversity is something we really celebrate and value within and beyond our learning community and is what makes our school, our community and our world so rich.
