Ms Knowles also reminded students that small marginal gains do matter – they all do add up over time and make a real difference. 1% changes for the better have a very large cumulative effect. With that in mind she highlighted the many opportunities and initiatives on offer at Bushey Meads School for students to get involved with to assist them to improve. These include our Time2Shine programme, the many positions of Student Leadership, House Events, the varied Enrichment Day activities and trips on offer as well as the special themed weeks that have taken place this year – such as Science Week and Flair Week.

There have been so many successes this year with all students but we want more next year. As parents and carers, do also take the time to have those important conversations with your children as they look to reflect back on this year and seek to build on the success of this year and move into the next important year group in the school starting from September.
