In celebration of the work of Performing Arts Students and Staff at Bushey Meads, a festival is to take place from the 11th to the 12th of February across school grounds. A Year 10 performance of Willy Russell’s hit musical ‘Blood Brothers’, and Year 12 performances of Sophie Treadwell’s ‘Machinal’ and a stage adaptation of F Scott Fitzgerald’s ‘The Great Gatsby’ are among the two days’ events. Not to be missed either is a musical theatre gala, an evening of musical theatre performances taken from a variety of well loved shows.
All publicity, programmes, front of house and stage management will be undertaken by Arts subject leaders, a further celebration of performing arts students’ dedication to their subjects. The festival is, in essence, a celebration of the successes of students, run by students, for students (and anyone else in want of an evening’s entertainment). We hope to see you there.
