Year 10 Sports Studies trip to Lee Valley Velopark  Mr Cartledge

On Tuesday March 10th the Year 10 Sports Studies group visited the Lee Valley Velopark, a London 2012 Olympic venue to take part in a BMX and Mountain bike session as part of the Outdoor Education Unit of the course. The boys had completed an assignment on planning the trip and were now being assessed in their bike handling skills in the 2 disciplines. The boys all made great progress on the day and the instructors were really impressed with their resilience in what for many were new sports. Special mention must go to K Hydara and R Hodgson who proved themselves to be talented bike handles in both disciplines. The boys are now completing an assignment evaluating the day and can be really proud of their efforts.
