New Joiners Assembly
It has been great to welcome some delightful students to our school recently and see the continued popularity of Bushey Meads School as a school of choice for our new joiners.
Assistant Headteacher Mr Mitman led a really inspiring assembly for the group of new joiners and their parents and carers last week to really welcome them to the school and explain about our core values, ethos and culture. At Bushey Meads School there are only 3 rules based on our 3 Rs of Respect, Responsibility and Relationships and these are underpinned by our whole school mantra of Our School Has a Mind to be Kind.
Mr Mitman also explained to our new joiners about our uniform expectations, the importance of good attendance and how this links so strongly to good attainment and progress and encouraged all the students to get involved in at least one of the many and wide range variety of clubs and extra-curricular activities on offer across all subject areas in the school.
He carefully explained our Keys to Success so that all students and parents knew what to expect and the responsibility we all have to ensure that the 3 way relationship between parents, teachers and students remains as strong as it can be and leads to real success for all our students.
It was a great and very positive assembly and it was lovely to officially welcome our new joiners and their parents and carers to the school.
