For those who know the school well, we know how many hard working dedicated staff work at Bushey Meads School – staff who on a day to day basis go the extra mile for students in their care. Since the end of term, and in particular after the recent GCSE and A level results, we have had so many emails, cards and messages of thanks sent into the school and also to individual staff from grateful students and parents for the education and care that they have received over many years – real testimony to the quality of education here at Bushey Meads. I could have picked from so many but here are a few; they are inspiring to read and remind us of the quality of colleagues we are privileged to work alongside.

Dear Mr Turner I have sent this email to thank Bushey Meads for the patience and hard work that you have given to my boys over the years. Your staff have been absolutely amazing, in particular Mrs Hughes. She went above and beyond to encourage and support my son and she never ever doubted him. There are no words that could ever express how incredible she has been with my son and I can not thank her enough. Therefore I am forever grateful. Mrs Hughes is an asset to Bushey Meads. Once again, thank you to all the staff and yourself, for providing such incredible support for your students. I feel privileged that my boys have been and are part of your school. As always I will continue to support Bushey Meads in every way I can. May I take this opportunity to wish you all a wonderful summer, a well earned break and I look forward to my youngest son starting his journey at Bushey Meads in September.

Our daughter is going to Leeds University, a fantastic university and degree course. Once again I would like to thank you all for the fantastic education that she has had at Bushey Meads. I was quite upset at the report in the Watford Observer. Both of my girls have had an excellent education at the school. This report I feel was very unfair. I am looking forward to my youngest daughter’s continuing education for her final year at the school. It will be difficult for me in June, after 8 years of being part of this school; an end of an era, but all era’s have to end!

Dear All. I hope you all are well. I’m writing to you to thank you for all the hard work and support you have provided me with and to inform you that I’ve gained a place at the University of Cambridge to study Medicine for this year and it really could not have been possible without the help from all of you. A REALLY BIG THANK YOU. 
Year 13 Student
Dear Mr Turner, I hope you are well. Today my son’s A level results were truly outstanding (4 A levels… including 3 A*). Whilst I have no doubt my son put in the required work to achieve this, I do not believe these results would have been possible without the truly excellent level of teaching he has received. For Maths and Advanced Maths, his favourite subjects, Mr Donovan, Miss Redhead and Miss Timmins have provided incredible support and have driven him to perform at his very best. For Geography, Miss Dunsby and Mr Sylvester have supported him all the way. But it is in Economics that I was most surprised by the result…you may not be aware, but at the end of year 12, my son was so behind on his studies (scoring Us on test papers) that there was talk of abandoning this subject and concentrating on the other 3…So it is very clear to me that, given the circumstances, Mr Osei has provided some top class teaching that can only be described as a “miracle”. Please pass on my sincere thanks to all the teachers and their supporting staff. I am very grateful to all of you for giving my son such great opportunities for his future. Many Thanks again. Dear Mr Turner, congratulations to Year 11 and 13 pupils on the GCSE and A-Level results and well done to all the dedicated teaching and support staff, for their hard work and professionalism, after 3 very challenging years in school. We wanted to thank you personally, for all your support for each of our 3 children, during their time at Bushey Meads School, especially at this moment, as our youngest son is now ready to take his next steps, onto Oaklands College. Please extend our thanks to teaching, support/pastoral staff and to members of the Senior Leadership Team, who have worked above and beyond, to support not only our children, but the whole school community. Wishing you personally and professionally, every happiness and success in the future. Kind regards
