Comment: It was great to see the Year 10 table tennis team playing some competitive matches to support the grading of the GCSE PE and CNAT Sports Studies courses. The boys were ranked from 1 – 4 and played against similar ranked players from the other competing schools. The standard was extremely high and boys played some excellent matches finally winning 2 and losing 3. All the boys improved as the games went on and this has certainly helped their grading for the future. Well done all !

NETBALL
Y10 Girls vSt.Margarets (League) AWAY Mrs Cooper
Date : Monday 21st March 2022
Result : 16-6 Win
Squad : A.Deutrom, S.Hindocha, L.Slight, H.Imansoura, K.Kovarova, R.Wheeler, A.Ashar
Player of Match : H.Imansoura – voted for by the opposition
Comment: Another confident performance from the year 10 teams saw them earn a deserved victory. The girls have worked really hard over the last couple of weeks with a flurry of matches and they have certainly demonstrated high levels of skill and commitment to end the season on a high. This game started slowly but the girls soon found their passing game and with the defence of A.Deutrom, S.Hindocha and L.Slight working hard to turn over the ball they limited the scoring opportunities of their local rivals. In the attacking court, H.Imansoura, K.Kovarova were slick with their passing and fed a variety of balls into the shooters R.Wheeler and A.Ashar who scored some fantastic goals. A great team performance and thanks to the supporters.

Comment: In a tournament organised by B.Meads it was great that both female members of staff could be present to enjoy the netball played by this talented team. All of the games were extremely competitive and the girls worked really hard in back to back matches to earn their runners up spot. It’s been a successful season for this team and they ended on another positive note. Well played ladies.
