Ronnie wins at historic York Hall

We are incredibly proud to celebrate the recent sporting achievement of one of our Year 11 students. After a two-year break from the ring, Ronnie made a triumphant return to boxing at the historic York Hall in Bethnal Green, often referred to as the “home of British boxing.”

Ronnie’s win was the result of sustained hard work at training camp with JAB Boxing, where he worked under the expert guidance of trainers Liam Shinkwin and Josh Burnham. Facing off against a highly skilled opponent, Ronnie showed the same championship form that earned him his National Schoolboy Champion title during his time with Bushey ABC.

Ronnie’s training schedule meant he sadly had to miss playing in the “Kick for Kit” charity football match on Friday night, but dedicated his win to his friend Kit, and the courage he has shown in recent months battling against leukemia.

Ronnie is temporarily hanging up the gloves to put his energy into his GCSEs. Please join us in congratulating Ronnie on his fantastic performance and wishing him the best of luck with his upcoming exams.
