STEM Challenge of the Week: CARDBOARD BOAT!

Dear students, parents and carers,

It’s time to kickstart our weekly STEM Challenges again!  Each week, a new challenge will be shared for students and even their families to get involved in.

Can you construct a cardboard boat to support up to 1/2lb without sinking?

This week’s STEM challenge involves some boat engineering! Why not challenge a friend to create one too and you can share the outcome with each other and discuss what worked, what didn’t and possibly even the engineering behind it all.  Please send any pictures or videos to me and we can share them in next week’s article.  An R3 will be awarded to anyone that sends me a picture or video.

For further inspiration mixed with some light humour, click on the link below to watch a cool Science Max video (I would highly recommend subscribing to the Science Max YouTube channel)

Have a great week.
