Over in technology, we have launched some new projects with our students, challenging students to get ‘hands on’ and stuck in to some practical tasks.
Year 8 student Ben Rutter has just finished off his monster project and has produced an amazing monster using paper mache and his incredible imagination.

Year 9 textile students have been investigating fabrics and how they are constructed. Over the last couple of lessons they have been doing some of their own weaving, producing some beautiful pieces. Benigna Bernotaite made a colourful hand woven hoop and Jessica Stevens made her own weaving card and made a start on some colourful stripes!

Holly Harris, a Year 10 GCSE textiles student has blown me away with her talent, showcasing a wide range of skills like crocheting, embroidery and dressmaking!

Some of our Year 8 students have been tasked with becoming architects. They have been gathering their own inspiration and creating mood boards to collect ideas from their favourite buildings. Tomas Davter, Jessica Levitan, Obi Spencer and Anna Sroka and just a few of our architects on the rise! Watch this space for photos of their final pieces! ‘
