Cooking is good for the soul!
It was a very enjoyable lesson to be in the food tech kitchen on Friday, making vegetable soup with a few year 7s that are currently in school during the latest lockdown.
The students were full of enthusiasm to chop, fry, boil and blend some delicious soups. The benefits go even further than just eating a nutritious and tasty meal, cooking is a positive experience for the mind too. So if you are struggling to stay motivated and engaged at the moment, then close the laptop and get out the pots and pans! There are so many easy, nutritious and delicious recipes out there. So, just get cooking!
