Wednesday 3rd April saw our fourth enrichment day of the academic year. These days support the PSHE and careers curriculum as well as giving students the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in subject areas.

Year 7 students had an inspirational day working under the guidance of two visiting professionals, the author Sue Hampton and the artist Darcy Turner.
Year 8 had a cultural learning experience with an Africa Day themed programme. students took part in exciting drumming workshops, dance and art.
Year 9 students focused on careers, using online platforms such as JED and Unifrog to explore future choices. They also spent some time choosing the GCSE option choices as part of this process. The students then looked at one of the school’s core values of Respect and what that means in every day life.
Year 10 worked on their GCSE Speech and Language examination, planning, rehearsing and then presenting their speeches to an audience.
Year 11 students spent the day focused on revision for the core subjects of English, Maths and Science, starting the day with a Walking talking Mock for English.
Year 12 and 13 focused on their subject areas with a variety of trips and lessons on offer as well as the opportunity to spend time independently studying for the upcoming examinations.
The day was a huge success and I would like to thank all the staff who made this day possible.
