Promoting Positive Praise
At the end of a very successful half term it has been great to be part of the whole school assemblies led by Deputy Headteacher Mr Beswick that have highlighted the incredible work and progress across all year groups in the school. He explained to students that so often we are looking forward to the next assessment, the next activity, or next milestone on our learning journey and, in doing so, we sometimes forget to celebrate all that we have achieved.
In the really positive and celebratory assemblies he shared with all students about the reward point totals for each house and the average reward points per person in each year group. Attendance was also celebrated across the houses and the year groups, with some year groups hitting over 96% attendance.
Specific students were also highlighted and congratulated for 100% attendance this year so far, the most reward points and for being the Student of the Week and the Student of the half term.
It was a very positive way for all students to end the half term and see how well they, and the school as a whole, are doing.
