The importance of diversity, equity and...

On June 2 2026, members of the Red Trust organisation, including governors, parents and students from Hartsbourne and Little Reddings wonderfully showcased the values of inclusivity and diversity in their respective primary schools! With the excellent support from the student leadership team and Lucy Dempster, who has kindly hosted and initiated the program, students have positively contributed to the event by opening warm welcomes and greetings to the many people invited.

Students from Hartsbourne and Little Reddings showed their inclusivity in school through conducting fantastic speeches and inspiring pictures to reinforce the importance of diversity! Each student who participated in the speeches had an amazing opportunity to earn a leadership position once they became a student in Bushey Meads School. This truly shows that inclusive leadership promotes equality by ensuring all students are heard, having that ‘Mind to be Kind’ and most importantly, given the equal opportunity for students to ‘Aspire to Achieve’.

In Bushey Meads School, our school demonstrates inclusivity in many ways through school events and activities that are designed to embrace diversity, ensuring everyone gets involved and feels part of the community! A student in Bushey Meads, Ehra Gargaritano has eagerly discussed the values of inclusivity in our school, highlighting that every student is respected and valued. We continue to positively embed inclusivity for all students in each school, creating a warm and welcoming community!
