Behaviour in the Community

Behaviour in the Community

We are proud that the vast majority of our students represent the school positively when they are out in the community. They are respectful, trustworthy and demonstrate the values we expect of them at all times.

However, it is disappointing to report that a small minority of students have recently been identified engaging in unacceptable behaviour in the local area. This has included incidents of shoplifting from local businesses and other antisocial behaviour. Such actions do not reflect our school values and risk damaging the strong relationships we have built with our community.

We are working closely with local shops and community partners to address these concerns and to ensure that appropriate actions and consequences are in place. Students have been reminded that they are ambassadors for the school whenever they are in uniform or identifiable as members of our school community, and that poor behaviour outside of school will be taken seriously.

We ask parents and carers to support us by being mindful of their child’s behaviour in the community and by reinforcing the importance of making positive choices. We also remind students that antisocial behaviour and theft are not acceptable under any circumstances and can have serious consequences.

By working together – school, families and community – we can ensure that our students continue to be seen as a credit to themselves and to the school.
