Superb Assembly to End the First Term at...
Our Year 7 students can all feel immensely proud of how well they have conducted themselves in their first term at Bushey Meads. They have been a really delightful year group and have really embraced so many positive aspects of school life – working hard in lessons, behaving so well in and out of the classroom and taking part in so many different leadership and extracurricular opportunities across the school.
Assistant Pastoral Manager Mrs Doran highlighted many of the amazing activities that have taken place since September as part of the Theme of the Week Reflection.
She talked about how reflection can help us grow and praised her year group for how much they had grown and matured in so many different ways since joining the school. She also encouraged them to consider a challenge that they had overcome to be able to feel proud of what they had achieved – even just joining a new school is a big challenge that they should be so proud of.
Two Year 11 students had recorded some inspiring videos, giving the Year 7s some really helpful advice as they head into the new year with such a bright future ahead.
I would like to thank Mrs Doran and all the Year 7 Character Development Coaches for their hard work and support for all our Year 7 students and for helping them make such a positive start to their journey through Bushey Meads School.
