Thank you to the vast majority of parents and carers who park sensibly to drop off their children in the mornings and to collect them in the afternoons. May we please remind all parents and carers when dropping off/collecting students to ensure that you:

  • park sensibly and safely with due consideration to our neighbours – please do not park in front of driveways
  • observe the yellow zigzags outside Bushey Meads and Meadow Wood schools (no pulling into the entrances of the schools)
  • ensure that traffic can flow smoothly by not parking near a junction (for example by the roundabout)

As there is no pavement on the opposite side of Coldharbour Lane in front of the school we strongly recommend that you do not allow your children to quickly exit the vehicle, directly onto the road. There is a great deal of traffic on this road and students safety must be the priority.

To avoid congestion in front of the school we recommend that you park further away from the school site and then the students can walk the rest of the way. We have suggested drop off points for the “Park and Stride” initiative as emailed to all parents.

As a reminder, there is no parking on the school site for parents and carers at the start or end of the school day, unless the student has a disability badge, therefore please do not pull into the school, even if the gates are open, as there is limited space to turn.

Many thanks for your support in ensuring our students safety as they travel to and from school.
