Remembrance – A Mark of Respect
Assistant Headteacher Mr Mitman led a series of very poignant assemblies in the Main Hall on the theme of Remembrance and also provided some important Theme of the Week resources for students to use in Character Development Time this week.
He linked the important act of Rembrance to one of our core values of Respect – something that the Year 8 and 9 students, pictured here in the Main Hall, were demonstrating in abundance throughout the morning gathering on Wednesday of this week.
Mr Mitman encouraged all of us to spend a minute reflecting on the Theme and considering what remembrance means to us – thinking about the ongoing sacrifices people around us make to ensure our safety, our freedom and our well being – even on a daily basis in our own lives.
Do remember to mark this year’s time of remembrance this weekend on Saturday at 11.00 am and use it as a moment to show respect to all those who deserve our thoughts at this time.
