Shining Bright Like Diamonds

On Friday 22nd April our Time2Sh9e group attended their first ‘Gaining the Very Top Grades’ workshop – how to Shimmer in English.

This was the first of four workshops focusing upon the core subject and preparing for the top universities.

First up was our Head of English, Ms Court, who brought glitter into the classroom. She focused upon the word ‘Shimmer’ seamlessly linking to the top grade skills of using adventurous vocabulary. This was followed by some analysis of some top grade examination responses. Students were encouraged to “Shine bright like a diamond’ through demonstrating six key qualities.

After enjoying the breakfast pastries, receiving scintillating advice, students left the room glistening and glowing ready to truly shimmer and spread glitter across their forthcoming English GCSE papers.

I look forward to sharing more sparkle next week after our second session focusing upon how to ‘Sparkle in Science.
